The Island Excursion (Private Group)

The Island Excursion
This is a superb new experience added to the adventures with Goa Handpicked. It has a great mix of sailing, snorkelling, mid-sea swimming, island hopping in a private seabird sailboat.

Here’s the plan: 

• Departure from Dona Paula jetty: 8 am 
• Sail to the Island (approx. 20 nautical miles and takes 1.5 hours to 2 hours). You get to learn the basics of sailing and help the skipper on the boat as you head out into the sea. This is a wind-powered sailboat which is an amazing experience. 
• Swim, snorkel and chill: The boat is anchored at Bat Island for 2 hours where you can jump in and have some fun. All safety and snorkelling equipment is catered for. 
• Sail back: We get the sails back up and head back to Dona Paula. (approx- 1.5-2 hours). 
• We should arrive back in Dona Paula right in time for some lunch.

• Size: 21 Ft 
• Capacity: 4-5 Guests per boat. We can arrange 2 boats for larger groups
• Top Speed: Up To 10 Knots
• Crew: 1 Skipper & 1 Assistant 
• Layout: Seating Area & Deck Area

Things to carry/wear if you're coming:

• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Swim-suits
• Water (We have Bisleri bottles, but best to carry reusable ones from home)
• Wear light comfortable clothing
• No shoes onboard the sailboats (they will be safely kept in the feeder boat)
